What United Methodists Are

Trinity’s Youth ministry is dedicated to bringing together youth, grades 6th-12th, by following God’s five purposes found in the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. The five purposes are:

1.Worship: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart.”
2.Ministry: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
3.Evangelism: “Go and make disciple.”
4.Fellowship: “Baptizing them.”
5.Discipleship: “Teaching them to obey.”

Our youth council will help in developing a purpose statement to be revealed at the New Year. Our youth council is the backbone to our ministry providing youth input on our ministry direction. The council will follow a few of the certain guidelines written in the UMYF handbook.

Our Sunday nights we explore fellowship, games, and a message. This is one of our efforts for evangelism. The night is meant for youth to bring their “unchurched” friends in to let them see a glimpse of God’s love.

We have many activities for our Youth Nights Out such as laser tag, movies, bowling and lots, lots more. We at Trinity UMYF, are seeking to be a ministry that will explore the purpose of “ministry” in which we show love to our neighbor’s.
